“I Recorded “Leg Over” At A Petrol Station – Mr Eazi
Nigerian super talented singer, songwriter and music executive Mr Eazi reveal how he came up with his breakthrough single “Leg Over”

“When I went to buy fuel for my generator. I recorded that whole song in 5 minutes.”
“In 2016, I wanted to buy fuel for my generator and I quickly went to E Kelly’s house had a filling station that was selling petrol cheaper.
When we got there, while my boy OC rushed to the petrol station, I was with E Kelly. And he was playing some beats and I quickly recorded a song that I didn’t even take seriously.
But by the end of 2016, that song became “Leg Over” one of the biggest songs in my career. I remember sending E Kelly a contract where he saw 50% publishing and he saw me giving him royalties.
E Kelly always says that this was the first time he had received such documentation for music he created. Mind you, E Kelly has created music for some of the biggest artists in the world.
But this was because they’re people who love exploiting others. Back to what you’re saying about education, for a long time, alot of producers did not know they had the right to earn from royalties.
