I Wrote Hit Songs For Wizkid – Singer Skales
Skales, whose real name is Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, asserts that he penned several chart-topping songs for Wizkid while they were both signed to Empire Mates Entertainment.
During an appearance on ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask,’ a program hosted by renowned content creator Bae U Barbie, Skales disclosed that he co-wrote several tracks on Wizkid’s debut album, ‘Super Star,’ including the bonus track ‘Wiz Party.’
He acknowledged Wizkid’s contribution to his music, including the composition of the popular song ‘Mukulu.’
He revealed, “In EME, we operated as a team, frequently exchanging songwriting contributions. I composed music for Wizkid, and he reciprocated by writing songs for me.”
As part of our teamwork under EME, he crafted ‘Mukulu’ for me, while I reciprocated by writing his song ‘Wiz Party.’
In the early 2010s, Banky W, a renowned R&B artist and music executive, signed Wizkid and Skales as among the inaugural artists to join EME.
The record label propelled the singers to prominence.
They subsequently parted ways with the label following a series of disputes with Banky W.
In a previous interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Banky W disclosed that Wizkid was contractually obligated to produce three albums for EME.
