Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Facing More Allegations Of Sexual Assault
Sean “Diddy” Combs, a prominent hip-hop entrepreneur, faces allegations of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in a newly filed lawsuit in New York.
The 12th accuser claims that after becoming pregnant, she faced coercive pressure from an associate to have an abortion, ultimately suffering a miscarriage.
Mr. Combs, currently in federal custody since his arrest last week, faces charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, which he vehemently denies.
The BBC has reached out to his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, for a statement regarding the new civil lawsuit.
ABOUT THE LASTEST LAWSUIT ?
A lawsuit filed in New York alleges that a woman, identified as Jane Doe, suffered repeated physical and sexual abuse from the defendant over a four-year period, commencing in late 2020.
The lawsuit alleges that she first encountered the rapper, who paid for her travel, at an international site, and thereafter, they established a regular relationship.
According to her legal complaint, the woman accuses Mr. Combs of drugging her and then participating in sexual acts without her consent while she was unconscious.
The lawsuit claims that Mr. Combs filmed sexual encounters without the woman’s consent and pressured her into group sex with others.
In July 2022, she was allegedly administered ketamine, causing intermittent blackouts. Upon disclosing her pregnancy to Mr.
Combs, his associate allegedly coerced her into considering an abortion, and she subsequently suffered a miscarriage.
The complainant alleges that Mr. Combs engaged in menacing humor that threatened her safety, monitored her movements and phone communications, and encouraged dependency by offering an allowance in lieu of her pursuing gainful employment.
“No one is above the law. Fame and wealth do not protect Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs from serious allegations of sex trafficking and abuse,” said the woman’s lawyers, Joseph L Ciaccio and Marie Napoli, in a statement provided to the BBC.
Mr Combs has faced a string of allegations in the past year following on from the lawsuit brought by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura last November alleging physical and sexual abuse. Ms Ventura’s lawsuit was settled by Mr Combs for an undisclosed sum.
The rapper is also facing criminal charges as federal prosecutors have accused him of “creating a criminal enterprise” in which he “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfil his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct”.
The rapper has pled not guilty to the three felony charges against him.
The BBC has reached out to Mr Combs’ lawyer for comment about the allegations in this latest lawsuit.
Mr Combs has denied all allegations contained in the 11 previous lawsuits.
